Appearance and preferences

Appearance

  • Theme: Dark, Light, or System.
  • Interface: New — the redesigned look, and the default — or Classic, the interface as it was before, kept pixel for pixel. The switch applies immediately; nothing else changes.
  • UI size: the whole app scales from one reference window, so every 16:9 monitor shows the same layout; this multiplier makes it more compact.
  • Help dots: the "?" hints next to labels can be switched off app-wide. Icon-button tooltips stay on — they're the buttons' only labels.

Preferences

  • Data folder — where everything lives (stacks, brands, config, renders). Default on a fresh install: %LOCALAPPDATA%\VidVertex\data. Move copies the data to a new or empty folder (the old one stays as a backup) or adopts an existing VidVertex folder as-is; the change takes effect on the next start, and can be undone until then.
  • Inbox folder — the handover folder the Downloader and the assembly line use (see Automation).
  • System tray — Keep VidVertex in the system tray: minimizing or closing the window hides the app in the tray instead of quitting, so scheduled assembly runs keep firing (Windows' Show desktop included). The tray icon brings the window back; Quit VidVertex in its menu ends the app. Takes effect on the next minimize or close, no restart needed.
WARNING

A data-folder move takes effect on the next start. Until then the running app keeps working in the old folder — which stays untouched as a backup — and the move can be undone from the same page.
