Presets and edits from outside
Presets
The Presets tab saves and applies stack presets: the full layout — widgets, zones, hook/endcard config, caption look, motion titles, everything except the actual post content (the clip, its texts and CSV references are excluded by default; an image carousel's images stay included because they are the reusable post). Build one good layout, then every new stack starts from it. Presets also power the assembly line (see Automation).
A preset is the look, the stack is the post. The clip, its texts and its CSV references stay out of a preset by default, so a new stack never arrives carrying yesterday's footage.
Edits from outside
When something else changes the stack on disk while the editor is open — an assistant over MCP, the assembly line, another tool — the editor reloads silently if you have no unsaved edits. With unsaved edits it shows a banner instead ("changed outside the app — your unsaved edits are kept") and lets you choose: load the external version, or keep yours.
