Storage and backups
Storage
Disk usage shows what the caches (preview proxies, voiceovers, motion titles, logs) occupy, Rendered videos what every stack's outputs take. Empty a cache, or delete a stack's renders — whole folders, behind a confirmation; files in use (the active log) are skipped and reported.
Google Drive uploads
The third section lists the files the Metricool modes put on your Google Drive, with the account's quota above them. VidVertex asks Google only for the files it created itself, so nothing else of your Drive is listed — or deletable. Each file says where it stands:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| used by a scheduled post | a scheduled Metricool post still points at this link — no delete button |
| CSV export — free once imported | written for a bulk CSV; Metricool copies the media at import |
| free to delete | the planner was checked and no post uses it |
| not verified | no Metricool API token, so the planner couldn't be checked |
Deleting here is permanent — it bypasses the Drive trash, because a trashed file still counts against the quota. Every delete sits behind a confirmation.
Backups
Every config file (stacks, brands, settings, widget states) keeps rotating backups of itself on every save. This page lists them and restores a version — the current file becomes the newest backup, so a restore is reversible.
