Connecting AI assistants: the one-click extension for Claude Desktop and Cowork, the command for Codex, and a live line naming who is connected right now. The walkthrough is Connect VidVertex to Claude.

Connect to Claude

Connect to Claude builds this installation's .mcpb extension file and opens it, so Claude Desktop and Cowork install it in one click; where Windows has no handler for that file type the app reveals it in Explorer instead, to drag into Claude → Settings → Extensions. Exporting again is also the update path — the new file replaces the installed extension.

Connect to Codex

The page shows the exact codex mcp add … command for this installation with a copy button. With the Codex CLI installed, Connect to Codex runs it for you; the config file is never edited behind Codex's back.

Who is connected right now

A status line refreshes while the page is open and names every assistant running against this installation: which client, how many sessions, since when — and whether one of them still runs an older build.

TIP

That last part answers a confusing case. After an update, an assistant that was already running keeps the old build until you restart it, so a brand-new tool can look missing. The line says so instead of leaving you guessing.
